Located just east of downtown Fairbanks is Fort Wainwright. Originally established in 1939 as an Air Force Base, it later transferred to the Army in 1961 and was redesigned as Fort Wainwright in honor of World War II general Jonathan M. Wainwright. For Wainwright hosts the Bureau of Land Management's Alaska Fire Service and is home to Bassett Army Community Hospital.

Over 15,000 residents live and work on the base at any given time. For complete information of Fort Wainwright housing visit this link.

There are many homes for sale just outside Fort Wainwright and because I know the area I can help you find and purchase the right place for the right price. I handle many military and VA home purchases and can help explain the sometimes confusing legal jargon that clouds military contracts. I would like to be your source for home buying near Fort Wainwright and can actually save you money when buying. Many military relocations only use a listing agent when buying and this can cost you more money in the purchase than needed.
